Fast and reliable Pulsar test method for early glaucoma detection
Various studies over the past decades have shown that contrast sensitivity and flicker sensitivity are affected in glaucoma. The NT-1P Tonometer, developed by NIDEK, is a non-contact tono/pachymeter that measures intraocular pressure (IOP) and corneal thickness. It uses a puff of air to flatten the cornea, with the NT-1p automatically detecting the patient's eye position after they place their chin on the chinrest and then initiating the measurement. Key features include a soft air nozzle design for patient comfort, a flexible screen for varied placement, and the automatic calculation of corrected IOP based on the measured corneal thickness
