*The UPD is an electromagnetic field-based endoscope positioning device that provides a 3D image of the shape and position of the endoscope inside the body to support insertion of the endoscope. When combined with the CF-240DL/I, a dedicated colonoscope with built-in electromagnetic coils, the magnetic pulses created from the coils are picked up by receiver coils on the main UPD device, and a 3D image of the endoscope is created on the monitor in real-time.
